Meet the Orthodontists

Dr. Douglas Rollins
In over 20 years of practice, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful families.
And it is said that beyond parents and teachers, it is the orthodontist that has seen a child the most during their all-important adolescent years. It is therefore my greatest responsibility to ensure that I give each patient the most positive contact possible during the process of giving them a new smile.
And it has been my greatest joy to make every smile that leaves my office connect with the positive relationship that has developed during the process of creating those smiles together. When a patient is looking at their new smile for the first time, I’m not just looking at their teeth - I’m looking at their eyes. For when a person smiles with their eyes as well as with their mouth, they are smiling from within.
Education/Experience:
My college, dental, and post-dental education have all been in Connecticut, providing me with a strong foundation of knowledge and a constant yearning to learn more about my ever-evolving profession!
Continuing Education
By regularly participating in continuing education, I am able to stay current on the latest technology and orthodontic treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results. I am a member of several professional associations, that provide me with opportunities for continuing education.
A commitment to the community
I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is always such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of many of my patients’ lives. I couldn’t ask for a better job or for a better group of people to be sharing their smiles with me. I look forward to working with you.
Dr. Oresta Bilous
I love being an orthodontist because I get to make a positive difference not only in the lives of children but in adults as well. Being an orthodontist is incredibly rewarding in so many ways. I am part of a very special community of doctors who have the training and experience to change a persons’ appearance and create a beautiful smile. I have met so many incredible people throughout my career and each of them has made an impact in my life. Each of my patients has a unique personality that brings something special to our relationship. I get to treat entire generations of families and watch my younger patients grow up to be amazing adults.

I attend seminars, state and local dental society meetings, and yearly orthodontic conventions in order to keep current on all the latest techniques and research in our field. Continuing Education
Like other health professions, orthodontics is constantly evolving. I make it my priority to stay on top of all the latest techniques and technological advances so that I may provide the best treatment and experience for my patients. I regularly attend continuing education seminars and meetings, as well as keep up with the latest published research in our profession. For patients concerned with how they look during treatment, I have taken certification courses for Invisalign treatment and lingual orthodontics (i.e. braces that go on the “back” of teeth).

Outside the Office:
I grew up outside of Boston, MA and moved to Connecticut for dental school. Not only did I get a great education at UConn, but I also met my wife, Trisha, who is completing a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Institute of Living in Hartford. We currently reside in North Haven and recently welcomed our first child to the family, a beautiful baby girl. As an avid Boston sports fan, I really enjoy following my hometown teams. I also love to watch movies, travel, and just spend time with family and friends.
